Loose Creek, Missouri : ウィキペディア英語版 | Loose Creek, Missouri
Loose Creek is an unincorporated community in Osage County, Missouri, USA. It is located on U.S. Route 50 about eight miles east of Jefferson City. The community tooks its name from nearby Loose Creek. ==History== German immigrant Theodore Lock arrived in the area in 1841 and established the Lock mill with his family. The original building was destroyed by fire in 1972 but was replaced with a more newer and modern day type building. Many German families, especially from the Krefeld area, settled in Loose Creek around 1851. The community appeared in the series ''Germans in America'' on German television. Because of its German heritage, it is mainly a Catholic town. In recent years, the population has boomed along the "Bonnots Mill Road" on Highway A in the direction of neighboring Bonnots Mill. Loose Creek has also produced many leaders, including the recently elected Tau Kappa Epsilon President Dustin Thoenen.
